too many circles of influence

k so I'm at some kind of truck stop in a small town in new mexico. I'm helping my middle school math teacher and her family get somewhere, but i don't remember where exactly. Her family is totally different than her real one. I look and see that her husband is that Dog the Bounty Hunter guy from TV... pretty scary looking. She also has two (or I'm one of them? three?) kids, one of whom is my roommate from last year, Brian. We make small talk as we're waiting for the ambulance to get fixed when the daughter, 14, slender, gothy looking, asks me a question. She seems intrigued about what Brian and I are talking about.

Then one of the mechanics from next door I guess pops in and says that they have to use the ambulance for an actual emergency and not just as a transport vehicle, saying some little girl needs to go to the hospital for some kind of injury. "I don't give a f%$# that (name of girl I can't remember) might die!" my teacher yells out at the top of her lungs, "We need that ambulance so we can make it on time!"

For some reason I have a feeling this may be influenced since I just saw Little Miss Sunshine for the first time like a week ago, and in the dream I remember thinking how dysfunctional the whole ordeal was.
